Dr. Uwe Schröder Awarded POMERANIA NOSTRA 2019 Prize.

Dr. Uwe Schröder, the Director of Pommersches Landesmuseum Greifswald Awarded Polish-German POMERANIA NOSTRA 2019 Prize. A press conference, at which this year's winner has been presented, took place at the courtyard of The National Museum in Szczecin - The Museum of Regional Traditions.

It was participated by: Krzysztof Soska, Deputy President of Szczecin Floating Garden, Stefan Fassbinder, Mayor of Greifswald.de, Prof. Dr Johanna E. Weber, rector Universität Greifswald, Prof. Edward Włodarczyk, rector of The University of Szczecin and Tomasz Kowalczyk, editor in chief of 24Kurier.pl - a service of Kurier Szczeciński daily newspaper.

The awarding ceremony is to be held on October 22nd 2019 during the Days of Polish-German Cooperation.

Polish-German Pomerania Nostra Prize has been established in 2003. It has been founded by: The City of Szczecin (West Pomerania) and The City of Greifswald (Vorpommern), The University of Szczecin and Ernst-Moritz Arndt University in Greifswald, as well, as the eitorial office of Kurier Szczeciński.

The prize is awarded every two years, in Szczecin and Greifswald alternately, to individuals who are extraordinarily merited to Polish-German dialogue and to common Pomerania in the fields of art, science, economy and politics.
