Temporary Exhibition: Women Fighting for the Independence of Poland

Visit us on Tuesday, October 15th 2019, 12:00 at noon, the Dialogue Space (level –1) at The National Museum in Szczecin – The Dialogue Centre Upheavals, to attend the vernissage of an exhibition entitled "Women Fighting for the Independence of Poland". The exhibition is to be available until the end of November 2019.

The exhibition consists of 26 boards showing wise, strong and extraordinary Polish women who lived and acted throughout difficult times of both war and peace. Pictures and copies of documents originate from, above all, the collections of Archiwum Akt Nowych w Warszawie (Central Archives of Modern Records in Warsaw), Archiwum Państwowe w Poznaniu (The State Archives in Poznań), Narodowe Archiwum Cyfrowe (The National Digital Archives), Wojskowe Biuro Historyczne (The Military Office of Historical Research), Komisja Historii Kobiet w Walce o Niepodległość Polski (The Committee for History of Women Fighting for the Independence of Poland) and from private collections of Tadeusz Krawczak and Jacek Dehnel. The exposition has been prepared by Central Archives of Modern Records in cooperation with Liga Kobiet Polskich (Polish Women's League). The project has been finacially supported by Multiannual "Niepodległa" Program for years 2017–2021 within "Niepodległa” grant program. The honorary patronage over the exhibition is held by Ryszard Czarnecki, a Member of the European Parliament, former Vice-President of the European Parliament.
